The Golf Club of Fleming Island

Ranked the fifth “Best New Affordable Golf Course in America,” in the January 2003 edition of Golf Digest, it is no wonder The Golf Club at Fleming Island was an official qualifying site for the 2003 U.S. Open. This Bobby Wood-designed golf course accentuates Florida’s most beautiful natural features. The front and back nines are as different in design as in surroundings.

The front is cut out of the east side of the plantation where open fairways lined with pines and ponds, and huge elevated greens let you grip and rip it! As you play west to the back nine, the scenery changes to swamp and thick woodlands, which plays for a tighter, shorter, shot-maker par 35. This meticulously maintained course plays tough, but remains fair with five sets of tees, and is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.

A thoroughly professional staff, the finest practice facility in the area, and a new, stunning plantation clubhouse offer a welcoming ambience that will impress you so that you will want to come back again and again!
